In Lak'ech comes from ancient mayan wisdom meaning "I am you, you are me." It recognizes the interconnectedness and humanity within ourselves and others helping us live a happier and more fulfilling life.

In Lak'ech

In Lak'ech AlA k'in

Tú eres mi otro yo.

You are my other me.

Si te hago daño a ti,

If I do harm to you,

Me hago daño a mi mismo.

I do harm to myself.

Si te amo y respeto,

If I love and respect you,

Me amo y respeto yo.

I love and respect myself.

Tree - Like a tree, we grow and change with the seasons; we may bend and sway but stand tall in our resilience. Like trees, we grow individually and in community, interconnected to one another.

Roots - The importance of knowing where we come from, and understanding ours, our families, communities, and society histories. It also represents our understanding of our connection to ourselves and others.

Mosiac - Represents the diversity of stories, identities, origins, and struggles we each experience. Honoring the distinct colors and difference without making one more important than another, while highlighting the beauty of coming together. It also expresses the interaction between different parts of our identity and intersectionalities.

Black & White vs Color - The juxtaposition represents the duality of being human and the way in which we are both darkness and light, success and failure, joy and suffering.

The Circle - Has no beginning or end. It represents the passing of time, learning, and change. It also represents interconnectedness, the spirit of In Lak'ech, and finding ourselves in others.

Wellness - I foster emotional, psychological, and spiritual wellness by understanding the importance of holistic healing of body, mind, and soul. I bring intentionality to the different forms of wellness in order to help my clients live better lives, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone and work to support each individual and communal path.

Mindfulness - Allows us to live more authentic lives with intentionality and purpose. It gives us the ability to be present with ourselves and others. It creates a path to liberation and empowerment no longer victims to our worries, assumptions, past, or emotions. As people we want to mindfully live our values and becoming authentic in the ways we show up in the world.

GrowthAs humans I believe we are always doing our best while in a continuous state of change and growth. I believe people are able to change, to improve, and to challenge themselves to be the best version of themselves every single day. We are resilient and able to overcome unthinkable challenges and obstacles both within ourselves and the world.

Diversity - I am committed to social justice centering individual and communal health in all that we do. I'm committed to being affirming and honoring the diversity of the clients I serve. I'm committed to creating a space that is welcoming of all communities, cultures, and backgrounds by aspiring to serve while upholding diversity, equity, acceptance, inclusion, and advocacy.
